TSEU Lobby Day (march & rally).
TSEU Lobby Day 2013 -- is a chance for labor unionists to take a stand for the future of Texas and for their jobs. It is a critical part of their ongoing fight for economic and social justice for state workers and citizens.
The rally was organized by the Texas State Employees Union & Texas Forward with the help of the Texas Organizing Project, the Texas AFL-CIO, and the Communications Workers of America.
After the march and rally at the State Capitol, demonstrators met with their respective legislators and presented them with their program which included: RESTORING funding for quality state services & higher education, for STOPPING privatization, for PROTECTING worker pensions, for PRESERVING affordable healthcare, and for WINNING a pay raise.
