Great first day of the Austin ThinkBike Workshop! One of the two workgroups focused exclusively on South Lamar, including a ride from City Hall to Ben White to see the challenges and opportunities firsthand. The design team from The Netherlands encouraged us to think big, and the City Public Works director Howard Lazarus (a big proponent of "alternative" transportation) concurred. If you are interested in the future of this transportation corridor, make some time tomorrow at 5:30 to come hear the presentations at City Hall.
