Here are scenes from the second annual Pre July 4th Parade in the Barrio held Sat. June 29, 2013. The event was held to honor soldiers and war veterans from the neighborhood (both living & deceased).
The Parade was presented by: LULAC District No.12, El Concilio Mexican-American Neighborhoods and Cristo Rey Church Jamica Festival.
The Parade started at East Cesar Chavez/Pleasant Valley Road and concluded at Edward Rendon Park (at Festival Beach).
Special guests spoke about their military experience after the Parade. Guests included:

Robert Pitman, US Attorney - Western District
